I received my master’s degree from Columbia University School of Social Work. In over twenty years of clinical experience I have worked with survivors of intimate partner violence, persons living with HIV/AIDS, older adults, immigrants in and out of status in the US and persons in the LGBTQI communities. I am trained in evidence based practices for PTSD.
My ability to empathize and provide a neutral critical eye to client challenges, allows me to closely align with them as they walk a path towards building confidence and awareness. I pull from various therapy methods to help my clients: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
