I help Latinx adults feel more at peace by healing from intergenerational trauma. Are you struggling to find your way while dealing with family expectations? Is it hard to feel like what you’re doing is “enough”? Maybe you’re struggling with anxious thoughts or conflict with important people in your life. That is understandable. The experience of being a first-generation Latinx has its own unique challenges. Sometimes our family doesn’t understand what we’re experiencing and that can feel isolating. I am a bilingual/bicultural therapist and I grew up with immigrant parents from Mexico. I am the oldest daughter of four, which comes with a significant sense of responsibility. I became a therapist to help others break cycles and learn new healthy patterns. I was trained from a Family Systems perspective, which means that I look at what’s going on in your life and how this is impacted by your family, context, environment and systems as a whole. I approach my work from a culturally-competent lens, and draw from Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems and Person-Centered Therapy models. You’ve already taken the most difficult step by seeking help. I know this process can be scary and intimidating; I’m here to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Feel free to call or email me to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation.
