As a first-generation Oaxacan and bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I know firsthand the unique challenges that come with growing up as a child of immigrants. Balancing two cultures, navigating family expectations, and finding your own identity can feel overwhelming. That’s why I’m passionate about creating a safe, culturally sensitive space where first-gen individuals can explore their mental health without fear of judgment. I specialize in working with BIPOC individuals facing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and life transitions. My approach is holistic and client-centered, meaning I tailor therapy to your unique experiences, strengths, and needs. Using evidence-based techniques like Individual Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (ICBT) and Seeking Safety, I help clients untangle the thoughts and patterns that may be holding them back, while also embracing the resilience that comes from their upbringing. Growing up in a multicultural environment shaped my deep curiosity about human behavior and relationships. Like many first-gen children, I often felt the weight of being the bridge between two worlds—translating, advocating, and carrying unspoken expectations. Through my own journey and professional training, I’ve developed a deep understanding of how these experiences impact mental health and self-worth. Therapy with me is a space where you can bring your whole self, your culture, your struggles, and your aspirations. I believe healing happens when we feel seen, heard, and understood. Whether you’re navigating generational trauma, family pressures, or personal growth, I’m here to help you find clarity, balance, and self-compassion. You don’t have to do this alone I’m here to support you on your journey.
