Hi, I’m Wendy, a Latina licensed therapist dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of BIPOC and Latinx communities. Being first-generation myself, I deeply understand the complexities of navigating “first” experiences—being the first to pursue higher education, enter professional spaces, and challenge intergenerational expectations. I specialize in supporting adults experiencing imposter syndrome, identity exploration, and finding ways to grow in spaces impacted by systemic influences.
Culturally responsive care is at the core of my work. I honor the powerful role of culture, family, and community in shaping identity, resiliency, and healing, and I recognize both the strengths and challenges present in first-generation and multicultural communities. My whole-person approach looks beyond and helps clients strengthen relationships, build supportive systems, and develop lasting resilience.
I integrate evidence-based practices with a deep understanding of cultural, environmental, and systemic factors. I am trained in evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) as I tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs and strengths. I strive to create a collaborative, affirming space where you can explore what meaningful change looks like for you. Grounded in connection, compassion, and authenticity, I believe in the power of being seen, supported, and moving forward together.
