I’m a bilingual (English/Spanish) therapist based in New York City. I was born in Puerto Rico and raised in the Bronx and Harlem. Those experiences deeply shape how I understand people, relationships, and healing. I’m part of a collaborative clinical team at West Side Psychotherapy PLLC., where I provide therapy to adults, adolescents and couples.
I didn’t come to this work by accident. My decision to become a therapist grew out of both personal experience and watching people I love navigate mental health systems that didn’t always feel accessible, affirming, or human. Over time, it became clear to me how important it is for people to have therapists who not only understand clinical work, but also understand culture, family, language, and lived experience. Creating that kind of space for others is at the heart of why I do this work.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in connection. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a partnership rather than a checklist. I work with clients to explore patterns, process past and present experiences, strengthen relationships, and build emotional awareness and self-trust. I value honesty, warmth, and humor, and I aim to create a space where clients can show up as they are—without needing to translate or explain themselves.
I’m committed to providing thoughtful, culturally responsive care that honors each client’s story, values, and identity.
