Hello and welcome! I’m Theadora (she/her). I am a compassionate, affirming and collaborative therapist, guided by a liberatory, social justice and trauma-informed framework. As a mixed/multicultural (Mexican/white), queer (bi/pan), neurodivergent, cis woman who lives with invisible disabilities, I honor the importance of being seen in the fullness of all our intersecting identities as an essential component of a supportive, therapy relationship.
I take a relational approach to therapy; care and respect for you and our therapeutic relationship are central to how I approach the work we do together. I honor your needs and desires for what you want from therapy and our therapeutic relationship and we go from there. I tend to be more gentle and explorative, leading with compassion and highlighting your strengths. I like to offer options and allow you to choose your own adventure based on what I hear you bring to sessions. I use a mix of modalities, including systems theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), somatics, and psychodynamic therapy.
I am dedicated to supporting your self-exploration and healing in whatever way and at whatever pace feels best to you. Together, we’ll explore the systems and circumstances that have shaped you, and compassionately hold who you have been, who you are today, and who you desire to become. It is my greatest hope that you feel seen, heard, and honored as your whole, authentic self during our time together.
