About Stephany Mejia, MSW, LCSW, RYT

Stephany N. Mejia, MSW, LCSW (she/her/ella) is a first-generation Nicaraguan-Dominican bilingual therapist and the founder of Healing Seeds Therapy PLLC. She offers holistic, attachment-based, and liberation-focused therapy rooted in anti-oppressive values. Stephany specializes in supporting adult children of emotionally immature parents, eldest daughters, LGBTQ+ individuals, first-generation clients, pregnant and postpartum people, and those navigating life transitions. She is HAES-aligned, Queer-affirming, and trained in maternal and early childhood mental health. Stephany is also a certified yoga teacher and integrates mind-body practices into her work. Originally from Washington Heights, she now lives in North Carolina and is licensed in NC, VA, and FL(I am in network with health insurances listed only in Virginia and NC, for Florida based clients it is self pay). The main modalities she uses are from a more holistic approach including IFS, EMDR, and Brainspotting centering the cultural experiences of my clients while understanding that clients are the experts of their experiences. My approach is warm and collaborative while also directive when needed.
