Cultural Identities

About Stephanie Salcedo Rossitch, PhD

You’ve learned to survive. Now you’re ready to heal. If you’re a first-generation professional, especially from a Latinx or immigrant background, you may carry invisible burdens: trauma, anxiety, perfectionism, and the pressure to succeed while honoring your roots.

As a Mexican-American therapist and daughter of immigrants, I specialize in helping first-gen adults navigate the emotional toll of intergenerational trauma, cultural expectations, and identity struggles. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed by anxiety, haunted by past experiences, and unsure how to move forward.

I offer trauma-informed therapy that is culturally responsive and grounded in compassion. Using approaches like CBT, PE, ACT, and mindfulness, I help you process trauma, build emotional resilience, and reconnect with your authentic self. Therapy with me is a space where your story is honored and your healing is prioritized.

I provide sessions in English and Spanish, via telehealth across North Carolina.

You don’t have to carry this alone. Schedule a free 15-minute consultation to explore how we can work together.
