About Stephanie Olano, LMFT

Hi, I’m Stephanie (she/her), a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Financial Trauma Coach running a solo virtual practice out of Merced, CA.

If you’re reading this at 3:00 a.m., panic-scrolling your bank account after a “revenge spending” spiral you can’t quite explain — I want you to know you’re not broken, and you’re not bad with money. You’re exhausted. You’ve spent all day code-switching, masking your neurodivergence to get through work, and carrying expectations that were never really yours to carry. On paper, you’re successful. Underneath it, you’re drowning in the shame of the ADHD tax and wondering why nothing you do ever feels like enough.

That’s exactly who I work with.

Who I work with:

  • Neurodivergent Latinas navigating money shame, ADHD tax, and “revenge spending” cycles
  • High-achieving BIPOC professionals exhausted from masking and code-switching
  • Adults processing generational and family expectations around success and money
  • Clients with undiagnosed or newly diagnosed ADHD/autism
  • Trauma, anxiety, and financial anxiety

My approach:

Here’s the thing — I’m not going to hand you a spreadsheet and call it healing. If your nervous system is in survival mode, no budget on earth is going to stick. We have to deal with what’s actually going on at a deeper level. I help you untangle the systemic and generational trauma underneath your relationship with money, understand your brain instead of fighting it, and build a financial rhythm that feels safe — not another system you’ll abandon in three weeks out of shame.

My approach to therapy is to be authentic and listen without judgment. I won’t hold my own agenda in the room, and I won’t make you feel small for how you got here. We work as a team. I’m trained in ADHD and autism assessment; I integrate Brainspotting into trauma work, and as a Certified Financial Trauma Coach, I bring a lens most therapists — and most financial advisors — simply don’t have.
