Please note that I am no longer offering one-on-one sessions. I am only seeing folks for ADHD assessments.
About Me
Hi! My name is Stephanie Olano, and I’m a nerdy, awkward, Latinx mental health therapist and ally. I was born and raised in the Bay Area, San Francisco, CA. I help people live an unapologetically authentic life and own it.
My focus is on providing a culturally responsive and compassionate approach. I stay up-to-date with the latest research and trends in Latinx mental health and actively seek to promote cultural humility and sensitivity in my practice. I offer online therapy sessions to work with anyone in California! I provide a safe and inclusive place to talk about topics vital to you.
Specializations
I primarily work with BIPOC and Latinx folx, professionals struggling with work stress, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, and acculturation issues. Many of my clients are working through anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, and/or traumatic experiences.
I frequently use feminist psychology, decolonized, somatic, anti-racist interventions and strategies, trauma-informed coping skills, and gender-affirming approaches to mental health.
If you think that any of these might be true of you…
Financial Therapy
In addition to traditional therapy, I offer financial therapy to help clients navigate the emotional challenges associated with financial stress. Many people face anxiety and shame around money, which can impact their overall mental health. Together, we can explore your relationship with money, address any financial fears, and develop healthy coping strategies. This includes understanding financial behaviors, setting realistic financial goals, and fostering a positive mindset around personal finances. By tackling these issues, we can work toward creating a more balanced and fulfilled life.
ADHD Assessments
As a licensed MFT, I’m certified to do ADHD evaluations. If you’re part of the Latinx and BIPOC communities and you’re tired of waiting for psych appointments or have been dismissed by other providers, I’m here to help!
The evaluation sessions will last about three hours, but they are split into three appointments. For your convenience, we can conduct them online or at my office in Burlingame, California.
Disclaimer: Please note that while I can conduct an ADHD evaluation, I do not provide medication management. This service is intended for individuals who have tried to seek treatment through their doctor or insurance but were denied treatment, or for those who suspect they may have ADHD but are not yet ready to work with a medical professional.
If you have any questions about whether we are a good fit, feel free to discuss them during the consultation. This is a free 15-minute call with me to explore how I can assist you. Remember, you are not alone.
