Hi, I’m Stephanie (she/her/ella) an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at Innerpeace Therapy in Upland, California. I am currently NOT accepting new clients, however can refer you to other available therapists within Innerpeace.
Over the last six years I have crafted a trauma informed cognitive behavioral approach to treatment through proving care to victims of domestic violence, teenagers navigating mandated care through the juvenile probation system and refugee families seeking support in their most vulnerable time of need.
At Innerpeace Therapy, I work with children, families, and adults who are seeking treatment to create a foundation for long lasting change. I believe that therapy should be client centered and not one size fits all. I believe it requires the therapist to individualize their interventions to create a safe place that meets the client’s strengths while challenging the underlying thought patterns that no longer serve them through processing and reflection. I also believe it requires the client to be open about their symptoms and goals throughout the progression of therapy to grow through their experience and create long term change.
I hold a Master of Art in Marriage and Family Therapy with a specialization in Trauma Studies from Pacific Oaks College and a Bachelor of Art in Psychology from the University of San Francisco. In my free time, I engage in self care through attending pilates studio classes, cuidando a mis planititas, and cooking with my husband.
