Hi, I’m Stephanie, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Innerpeace Therapy in Upland, California. I am currently accepting new adult clients via telehealth Monday and Thursday evenings!
Over the last seven years I have worked providing care to victims of domestic violence, to teens in residential care, refugee families and trauma survivors of all ages in their most vulnerable time of need through using a trauma informed cognitive behavioral approach to treatment. Using a trauma informed approach means I meet clients where they are with the understanding that their lived intersectional experiences have shaped how they navigate their present day.
In session I work with clients to develop goals and a treatment plan individualized for their current needs. Over the course of treatment through meeting once a week, we work toward their goals through skill building, challenging and reframing thoughts and self reflecting. As a Client meets their goals, we slowly decrease services toward termination so that they can maintain progress on their own reinforcing learned skills, reframing thoughts and new perspectives for the journey ahead.
Whether this is your first time seeking support or a follow up for new growth, know that your experiences have brought you here to challenge and let go of what no longer serves you.
I hold a Master of Art in Marriage and Family Therapy with a specialization in Trauma Studies from Pacific Oaks College and a Bachelor of Art in Psychology from the University of San Francisco. In my free time, I engage in self care through attending fitness studio classes, cuidando a mis plantitas, reading suspense thrillers and traveling with my family.
