I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who was born and raised in San Francisco's Mission District.  I help people find meaning, give language to experiences, develop deeper self-understanding and create more peace in their lives and relationships. Much of my experience has been working with youth ages 12 and older and with their families, in support of their socioemotional development.  I also have worked to establish school-based mental health programs in the Bay Area.   Additionally, I have provided trainings to mental health clinicians about therapeutic approaches to support youth and families from a trauma responsive perspective.  Lastly, I have also provided trainings on educators and  parents about the developmental psychology of children and adolescents. I provide therapy through a lens that embraces your culture and lived experience.  The work that we will do in therapy will be led by you and will build upon your strengths, values and your personality.  I infuse humor, creative and visual arts, and an ecclectic mix of therapeutic modalities that best suit you and your situation.
