Welcome, I’m Sostenes Lima, a licensed therapist in California, North Carolina, and Florida and the Co-owner of Sunset Trauma Therapy. We will co-create a therapeutic space tailored to meet your unique needs. I specialize in working with folks who seek to address experiences of trauma, depression, anxiety and more. I am also passionate about being a resource for professionals of color, creatives, athletes, and fathers. My approach is relational and client-centered while using my clinical Integrative psychotherapy training in Psychodynamic, Psychoanalysis, EMDR, and Attachment. I have 10+ years working in mental health and non-profit settings, including private practice, community mental health, psychiatric facilities, schools, and community organizing. I have authored a book, trained other therapists and organizations on trauma-informed practices. I have a graduate degree from Columbia University, a multicultural background (Brazilian American), and personal/clinical experiences that have led me to a deep understanding and reverence for the complexity of issues that bring folks to therapy.
