Cultural Identities

About Sal Maciel Avila

I offer culturally responsive trauma therapy in the Bay Area for adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, identity, and life transitions.

My work is deeply rooted in cultural humility, respect, and responsiveness. As a first-generation immigrant, I understand the complexities of navigating multiple identities, cultural expectations, and systemic barriers. I bring this lived experience into my practice to support individuals and families from diverse cultural backgrounds.

I strive to create a space where you can explore your experiences without fear of judgment—while honoring your cultural values, strengths, and resilience.
