About Rubi Quezada, LCSW

As your therapist, my primary role is to guide your healing journey, while understanding you already know the way. I am deeply committed to supporting teens + adults rediscover their true selves after being controlled with thoughts of food and body; after feeling depleted for carrying the weight of generational trauma. I specialize in working with eating disorders + one’s relationship to their body. I have a particular interest in working with people who survived childhood trauma including sexual abuse + developmental trauma. I believe the foundation of all our emotional wounds lies in our attachments.

Our earliest bonds shape our beliefs about our worth, our perception of the world and our connection with others. To reach those deeply guarded wounds, we use parts work + uncover all the parts of you at play. Every part of you is welcome, no matter how bad some may feel. My ultimate goal is to create a safe space where you can feel at home within yourself.
My professional background includes working with survivors of intimate partner violence in shelters, adolescents experiencing trauma in community mental health + teens with eating disorders/ocd/substance misuse in residential treatment care. If you feel drawn to connect, call/text me – whichever feels best to you.
