Are you the “dependable one” everyone has always counted on, the friend, daughter, sister, employee who always shows up, always has it together? And now that you’re a mother, has that role turned into another kind of load, one you didn’t fully see coming?
If you’re here, you’re probably in the thick of motherhood, and you’re carrying more than you’re letting on.
Motherhood brings joy. It also brings grief: the loss of your flexibility, your time, your sense of self as you knew it. Most people don’t talk about the hard parts. So many moms end up suffering in isolation, feeling guilty for even naming what they truly think and feel.
I’m a PMH-C certified therapist based in Westchester County, NY, and this work is personal to me. My own experience with motherhood, and how lost I felt inside of it, is what led me here. I know what it’s like to smile through something that’s actually breaking you open.
In our sessions, I give you permission to say the true things out loud, the ones you’ve been too afraid or too guilty to admit. That permission is where the freeing begins.
I believe therapy should be a non-judgmental space where you can be yourself and safely discover different layers of who you are. Storytelling is powerful, and I help my clients rewrite the narratives that have been causing them pain. I also bring in somatic practices to help you reconnect with your body, because creating life is a lot, physically and emotionally, and that experience deserves space in the room.
You deserve to feel all the magic that’s already within you. You are worthy of creating the life and the motherhood you actually want, not just the one you inherited. You can be appreciative of your lineage AND do things differently.
You’ve been brave enough to carry everyone else. Be brave enough to carry yourself too.
If this sounds like the space you’ve been needing, I’d love to connect.
