About Roslyn Guzman, LCSW

You’re the one everyone calls. The one who shows up. The one who holds it all together.

And behind the scenes? You’re exhausted.

You say yes when you mean no. You check on everyone else before you even think about yourself. You’ve been so busy being strong for others that somewhere along the way, you stopped asking what you actually need.

That ends here …. if you want it to.

I work with women who are done running on empty and ready to start living for themselves, maybe for the first time. Whether you’re breaking cycles that have been in your family for generations, unlearning people-pleasing patterns that kept you safe but kept you small, or just finally ready to put yourself on your own list- this is your space.

In our sessions, we get curious. We look at the stories you’ve been telling yourself about who you’re supposed to be, what you’re allowed to want, and what it means to do things differently than the people who raised you. Then we rewrite them. Together.

You can love your people AND choose yourself. You can honor your lineage AND do things differently. Those things aren’t in conflict, and therapy is where we figure out how to hold both.

I also have a deep passion for maternal mental health. Pregnancy and postpartum can bring up emotions that catch you completely off guard, grief, anxiety, identity shifts, and the pressure to feel a certain way when you don’t. If you’re in that season of life, you don’t have to navigate it alone or pretend you’re fine.

Therapy doesn’t stop when the session ends. Between our sessions, I give you real things to try: practices, reflections, and tools you can actually use in your day-to-day life. Because change happens in the room and outside of it.

I use a CBT, DBT, and mindfulness-informed approach, woven together with narrative therapy, which means we don’t just talk about what’s happening, we get to the root of it. We look at the stories you’ve inherited and the ones you’ve told yourself about who you’re supposed to be. Then we connect the thoughts, the patterns, the behaviors, and build real tools for living more freely. Because you deserve more than coping, you deserve actual change.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 13 years of experience in mental health, and co-founder of be Morr Counseling, a culturally affirming therapeutic community in New York City where Women of Color receive mental health support from WOC, individually and in community.

You’ve been brave enough to carry everyone else. Be brave enough to carry yourself too.

Ready? Schedule your free 15-minute consultation. I’ll speak to you soon.
