My journey as a therapist began with a deep curiosity about how people heal, grow, and rediscover themselves after difficult experiences. Over the years I have worked in schools, community programs, managed care, and private practice, supporting individuals through trauma, identity exploration, and major life transitions. These experiences shaped my relational and trauma informed approach, which is grounded in empathy, cultural understanding, and collaboration.
I work with people who carry many responsibilities and expectations, often doing their best to stay grounded while managing work, family, and community roles. Many share that even while achieving stability or success, they feel anxious, disconnected, or emotionally drained. Therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that have been overlooked while showing up for everyone else.
A core part of my work involves exploring the impact of culture, family expectations, and generational patterns. Many of the challenges we face are deeply connected to the stories and beliefs passed down through families and communities. Together we look at how these experiences have shaped your sense of self, relationships, and ways of coping, while creating room to break cycles that no longer serve you.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and genuine. I see therapy as a shared process where we explore patterns, emotions, and cultural influences to understand what keeps you feeling stuck. The goal is to help you make sense of your experiences, strengthen your connection to your values, and find new ways of relating to yourself and others with more clarity and compassion.
I draw from trauma informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and relational approaches while incorporating strength based and culturally responsive frameworks. My intention is to help you manage stress, reduce self doubt, and cultivate a deeper sense of peace and self trust.
My approach is not just about coping with symptoms but also creating lasting change that feels authentic and aligned with who you are. I am committed to offering an inclusive and supportive space that honors your story and lived experience. You do not have to hold everything together on your own. Therapy is a place to exhale, feel seen, and begin to heal and grow at your own pace.
