Many of the women who find their way to my practice are used to being the strong one.
You may be the daughter who carries family expectations, the professional who is competent and dependable at work, the partner who holds relationships together, or the mother trying to break generational cycles for your children. From the outside, you may appear composed and capable. Yet internally you may feel anxious, overwhelmed, self-critical, or quietly disconnected from yourself.
If that sounds familiar, you are not alone.
For over 20 years, I have worked with adults, children, and families, and much of my work today focuses on supporting women, particularly Latina, first generation BIPOC women, who want to understand how earlier life experiences continue to shape their present lives. Many of my clients are thoughtful, insightful, and high-functioning, yet still feel stuck in patterns of over-responsibility, people-pleasing, boundary guilt, or chronic anxiety. Often, these patterns began as ways to survive. Early attachment experiences, family dynamics, cultural expectations, and traumatic events can deeply influence how we learn to cope. Many women learned to be strong,
My approach is warm, thoughtful, and depth-oriented. I believe healing happens when we understand the full context of your life: your history, your relationships, your nervous system responses, and the cultural environments that shaped you.
I am a California-licensed psychotherapist with over two decades of clinical experience. My work is integrative and informed by advanced training in:
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Brainspotting
Sensorimotor and Body-Oriented Psychotherapy
Havening Techniques
Yoga Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Mindfulness-Based CBT
Rather than following a single rigid therapy model, I draw from multiple evidence-based approaches depending on what best supports you. Some sessions may focus on trauma processing. Others may center on understanding relationship patterns, strengthening nervous system regulation, or exploring different “parts” of yourself that developed to protect you.
Many of my clients also appreciate that my work allows space for deeper reflection and meaning-making. Alongside evidence-based trauma treatment, I bring a depth-informed perspective that can include identity exploration, family narratives, intergenerational patterns, and spirituality in a grounded, non-religious way.
At its core, my work is about integration.
It’s about helping you move from simply coping or surviving toward feeling more aligned with yourself. As the work unfolds, many women notice changes in how they relate to others, how they set boundaries, and how they experience their own inner voice.
You may find yourself feeling calmer, clearer, and more connected to who you are, not just who you’ve had to be.
If you are looking for a therapist who understands both the psychological and cultural layers of your experience, and who approaches the work with compassion, steadiness, and clinical depth, you are welcome here.
Healing is not about fixing something broken.
It is about understanding your story and reclaiming your sense of self.
