¡Hola! I’m Rosa, my nickname is Roxy and I am a Peruvian-American, neurodivergent, queer therapist. I grew up brown in the South and know what it’s like to navigate a world where people who look like you are often not represented. I also have Quechua ancestry, and I am on a personal journey of reconnecting with those roots. Born in Queens, New York, and raised in Apex, North Carolina, I bring both my lived experience and professional training to support clients on their healing journey.
I love being in nature, cuddling with my three fur babies, spending time with friends and family, listening to everything from reggaetón to punk rock, going to concerts, practicing yoga, traveling, trying new restaurants, and connecting with spiritual practices such as tarot, oracle decks, altar building, and candle work.
Now, on to the reason you are here reading this…
Facing trauma and life’s painful experiences is brave work. With compassion and guidance, you can navigate it, and I would be honored to walk alongside you on your own unique, mindful path forward.
I’m bilingual (English/Spanish) and a licensed clinical social worker. I work with clients who are ready to do the deep work. I specialize in working with women and genderqueer folx around navigating:
-Stressful/Traumatic Childhoods
-Life Transitions
-Imposter Syndrome
-Betrayal Trauma
-Anxiety / Depression
-Self Compassion Development
-Inner Child/Parts Work
My therapy approach is intuitive and eclectic, blending talk therapy with mindfulness, movement, and self compassion. I often bring humor into sessions, and our time together can be experiential and reflective. I believe that with guidance and support, you can learn to heal yourself and tune into your own inner wisdom.
If this feels like a good fit, I’d love to connect! Schedule a free 15-minute consultation and let’s see if we’re a match.
