You may appear strong and capable on the outside, yet internally feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in cycles of overthinking and self doubt. You may carry a lot for others while struggling with self doubt, trauma, or feeling disconnected from who you truly are. Many of my clients are thoughtful and self aware, yet still feel stuck in patterns they cannot fully explain and want to feel more grounded, clear, and at home within themselves. As a queer Latina therapist offering online therapy in North Carolina, I bring cultural understanding and openness while recognizing your experiences are uniquely your own.
My approach is trauma informed and integrates somatic awareness, mindfulness, parts work (Internal family systems/IFS), ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy), and CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy). I can help you understand patterns behind anxiety, self doubt, and people pleasing so you can feel grounded, trust yourself, and make empowered choices.
I work with young adult women and gender diverse folx navigating anxiety, trauma, and relational stress. Many feel caught between others’ expectations and their own needs, carry responsibility for others’ emotions, or feel guilt when setting boundaries. Together, we work toward helping you feel more confident, set boundaries, and take up space in your life!
As for myself, my name is Rosa ‘Roxy’ Shadrin-Toledo. I am a Latina of Peruvian heritage with Quechua ancestry, and I identify as a neurodivergent and queer therapist. Growing up brown in the South, I learned firsthand what it means to move through a world where people who look like you are rarely represented. Born in Queens, New York, and raised in Apex, North Carolina, I bring both my lived experience and my professional training into the therapy room to support clients on their healing journey.
