About Raquel Rocha, LCSW

Exhausted navigating systems not built for you? I’m Raquel, trauma-focused LCSW in IL, TX, NC, and OH. Maybe you’re a high-achieving professional who looks successful but drafts emails 10 times and loses sleep over work. Or you’re a teen/young adult navigating identity and family expectations. Perhaps you’re a 1st/1.5 gen individual caught between cultures, managing ADHD and perfectionism, or experiencing mental health challenges from GLP-1 medications. My approach blends psychodynamic insight, cognitive behavioral strategies, and real-world experience. Sessions are collaborative—focused on what matters to YOU.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in corporate recruiting, crisis intervention, and managed care. I understand high-pressure environments, bureaucratic systems, and straddling multiple identities. Whether you’re managing up at work or managing expectations at home, you deserve support that gets what it’s like to feel caught between worlds.

That knot in your chest before logging on? The mental gymnastics of being ‘professional’ you vs. real you? I get it. You shouldn’t have to choose between success and sanity, or between honoring your family and being yourself. This is your sign that it’s okay to want more than just surviving. Let’s talk about actually thriving.

Currently offering virtual sessions across four states, IL, TX, OH, NC.

I specialize in anxiety, depression, and trauma—especially when connected to cultural identity or life transitions. I help BIPOC professionals with burnout, 1st/1.5 gen individuals navigating family expectations, and people managing mental health effects from GLP-1 medications. I also support clients with ADHD, binge eating, grief, family conflict, and self-esteem.

I’m currently welcoming new self-pay clients! If you’re ready to invest in your mental health and looking for a personalized, insurance free experience, I’d love to connect. Reach out to learn more about my fees!
