About Raquel Henry, Psy.D.

I am dedicated to creating a safe, compassionate space where we can collaboratively explore your experiences and support your healing journey. I recognize the profound privilege of witnessing your vulnerability, and I approach our work with empathy and a strengths-based perspective that honors your resilience and wisdom. You are the expert of your own life, and my goal is to listen deeply and help you identify patterns or behaviors that no longer serve your well-being.

My approach is rooted in psychodynamic-relational therapy, which focuses on understanding how your past experiences shape the ways you engage with your relationships and the world around you today. To best support your unique needs, I also integrate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and mindfulness techniques.

I am a queer Afro-Latina psychologist, and my identities deeply inform and enrich the way I approach therapy. This is an inclusive and affirming space where you are welcome exactly as you are. I am committed to fostering a therapeutic environment grounded in safety, respect, and empowerment, especially for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities.

I am passionate about creating a safe space for you to address the challenges you’re experiencing with your mental health. I look forward to partnering with you on your path toward growth and healing.
