I am a licensed mental health counselor and AASECT certified sex therapist. I am licensed in New York, New Jersey and Puerto Rico. My practice is fully remote and all sessions are conducted via Zoom. I can provide therapy in English, Spanish or Spanglish and prefer a more informal approach to the therapeutic relationship. I believe in empowering the clients I serve and since they are the experts on themselves, I seek to create a collaborative style of therapy. I am known to drop F bombs in session and encourage my clients to speak freely about whatever is on their minds (F bombs optional). I do not use AI in any way in my practice (note-taking, recording, treatment planning, etc). If at any point any of the platforms I use begin to implement AI in a way that does not allow opting out, then I will inform my clients of my concerns and change those platforms to one that does not require AI use.
I provide individual psychotherapy on a weekly, biweekly or monthly basis depending on your needs at the time. I utilize a client-centered, liberatory, trauma-informed, holistic and sex positive approach to therapy. I have an eclectic approach to therapy and often utilize aspects of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Existential Therapy, Attachment Theory, Critical Race Theory, Liberation Psychology, Feminist Therapy, Multicultural Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Client Centered Therapy while operating under the framework of Mujerista Therapy.
I can accept therapy clients on a pay-what-you-can sliding scale which starts at $75 per session and goes up to $150 per session. I encourage those who are able to sustainably afford therapy on the higher side of the scale to let me know so that I can offer additional sessions to clients experiencing financial hardship. I also accept insurance, however I am prioritizing self-pay clients interested in receiving individual sex therapy at this time.
