Hola! I’m Mayra (she/ella). I’m here to assist you in your individual healing journey to feel stronger. I’m passionate about being and feeling Latina, I focus on helping adults older than 18 + who feel their emotions are getting in the way of experiencing joy and life at its fullest. My practice is culturally sensitive, I am fully bilingual (Spanish/English) and I was born and raised in the Caribbean (Puerto Rico). As a young Latina who moved to a different country, I understand the struggles of acculturation and social dynamics that create stress and mental health challenges, I experienced this myself when moving to Colorado from Puerto Rico. I believe that therapy can be a space to navigate your overwhelming thoughts, frustrations or simply a safe space to talk about what’s in your mind. I approach therapy from a solution focused approach and enjoy using humor during sessions, therapy can be fun! Outside of work, you can find me going on hikes or walks with my dog Margo, spending time with family or looking for places to explore in nature. I enjoy being at the beach when I get to visit Puerto Rico! I look forward to being your guide as you explore your healing process and challenge yourself!

Me apasiona ser y sentirme latina, me enfoco en ayudar a adultos mayores de 18+ que sienten que sus emociones se interponen en su camino para experimentar la alegría y la vida al máximo. Como joven latina que se mudó a un país diferente, entiendo las luchas de la aculturación y las dinámicas sociales que crean estrés y desafíos de salud mental. Yo experimenté esto cuando me mudé a Colorado desde Puerto Rico. Creo que la terapia puede ser un espacio para navegar por tus pensamientos abrumadores, frustraciones o simplemente un espacio seguro para hablar sobre lo que tienes en mente. Abordo la terapia desde un enfoque centrado en soluciones y disfruto usando el humor durante las sesiones, ¡la terapia puede ser divertida! Fuera del trabajo, puedes encontrarme haciendo caminatas o paseos con mi perra Margo, pasando tiempo con la familia o buscando lugares para explorar en la naturaleza. ¡Disfruto estar en la playa cuando visito Puerto Rico! ¡Espero ser tu guía mientras exploras tu proceso de curación y te desafías a ti mismo!
