About Migdalis Nieves, LCSW

I’m Migdalis Nieves, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from George Mason University and my undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Lincoln College of New England. My experience includes working in private practice, medical, and community-based settings, where I’ve supported individuals navigating trauma, stress, and major life transitions.

I view therapy as a collaborative process built on trust, consistency, and creating space to slow things down and better understand what’s happening beneath the surface. My work is grounded in an attachment-focused lens, helping clients recognize the patterns that shape how they relate to themselves and others. I focus on helping clients build practical coping skills while also exploring the deeper dynamics that may be keeping them stuck.

I have a special interest in working with individuals who have taken on certain roles within their families due to cultural or family expectations. Together, we work on untangling those roles, setting healthier boundaries, and developing a stronger sense of self outside of those expectations.

My areas of focus include attachment patterns, anxiety, relationship conflict, trauma, and life transitions. I integrate approaches such as CBT, ACT, DBT, IFS, EMDR, and mindfulness-based interventions depending on each client’s unique needs.

My style is direct, collaborative, and supportive, with the goal of helping clients move toward more secure, intentional, and fulfilling ways of relating to themselves and others.

Soy Migdalis Nieves, Trabajadora Social Clínica Licenciada.
