Cultural Identities

About Michelle Linsley, MS, EdS, LMHC

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and bilingual therapist based in Washington State, I specialize in compassionate, culturally grounded therapy for individuals, children, teens, and families—especially those within Latinx and multicultural communities. I’m committed to creating a space where every person feels heard, respected, and supported in their journey toward healing.

My clinical work is rooted in evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness practices. I integrate these modalities with a trauma-informed, relational style, offering attuned support for those navigating anxiety, trauma, family dynamics, identity exploration, and life transitions. Whether we’re exploring intergenerational patterns, unpacking cultural scripts, or reconnecting to inner wisdom, I work collaboratively to help you feel safe, empowered, and aligned with your values.

I bring over 12 years of experience across community health centers, pediatric clinics, schools, and private outpatient settings. These diverse spaces have deepened my understanding of how systemic challenges, cultural narratives, and personal history intersect. I honor the complexity of each person’s story, and I strive to hold space with humility, curiosity, and hope.

For many Latinx individuals and families, therapy may carry unique considerations—stigma, language barriers, generational expectations, or simply not knowing where to start. As someone fluent in both English and Spanish, I offer care that is linguistically and culturally accessible. I recognize the importance of personal history, family roles, spirituality, and community ties. My goal is to create an environment where you can show up fully, without judgment, and explore what healing looks like on your own terms.

I especially love working with children, teens, and individuals helping them build emotional resilience, foster self-compassion, and navigate the complex landscape of growing up. Whether someone is dealing with anxiety, behavioral concerns, school stress, or cultural identity questions, I collaborate with caregivers to offer warm, skillful support. I also support parents and families looking to strengthen connections, break old cycles, and create new relational patterns rooted in trust and understanding.

You deserve therapy that sees the whole of you—not just your symptoms, but your story, your strengths, and your sacred contradictions. I offer a space where therapy isn’t about “fixing,” but rather about listening deeply, reclaiming agency, and growing through moments of challenge.

If you’re seeking a therapist who will meet you with warmth, cultural attunement, and a steady presence, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. Healing isn’t linear—but together, we’ll navigate each step with heart, intention, and gentleness.
