Welcome! I’m Michelle Batista, a bilingual (English and Spanish) mental health counselor offering relational, trauma-informed online therapy across New York. I know that navigating periods of heavy uncertainty, discouragement, or deep overwhelm can feel isolating. Many of the clients I work with have already spent a lot of time trying to think their way through their problems—they have the insight and have put in the effort, but they still feel stuck, dysregulated, or exhausted from carrying it all alone.
My practice is grounded in providing a space that feels human, steady, and truly collaborative. I don’t believe in a rigid, one-size-fits-all approach to healing. Instead, my work blends person-centered therapy with CBT-informed tools to offer both deep understanding and practical skill-building. This means we will work together to build greater insight into your emotional patterns while also developing tangible, real-world coping strategies you can rely on to find your center in daily life.
Whether you are seeking care in your primary language, looking for a calm and encouraging presence, or wanting to move from emotional overwhelm to a place of stronger self-compassion and regulation, we can get there together. Therapy with me is a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you don’t have to translate your life, your culture, or your background—identity safety is a given here. You can just come exactly as you are, and feel understood.
If you are looking for therapy that feels warm, grounded, and balances self-exploration with practical support, I would be honored to help you start feeling steadier.
