My work is centered on people’s struggles navigating life changes, depression and anxiety, trauma, loss and grief, acculturation and immigration stressors, love and family relations, racial and cultural identity, professional and academic issues.
I aim to build an authentic space where you can connect, explore, be honest, rethink, allow growth and elaborate for change.
Sessions can be focused on understanding yourself better, processing difficult moments, improving communication and expression of self, identifying and affirming strengths, finding new meanings and ways.
My approach can be described as sincere, reflective, relational and affirmative.
I am passionate about serving BIPOC, immigrant and LGBTQIA+ clients. I have lived and practiced in different countries, and see there’s uniqueness to each person I work with, as well as their context and approach to mental health. I take into consideration all aspects of a person’s identity, the social, cultural, racial, spiritual, political, familial and historical factors that can influence our lives, values, self-view, decisions and behaviors.
Clients have described me as attentive, insightful, warm, and humorous.
I welcome you to reach and start our work together, whether you are looking for a clinician with similar experiences to yours and/or a place to root yourself and focus on your process!
