Hola! I am a formerly undocumented LMFT in the state of California. I have worked in the mental health field for almost 15 years in community mental health centers, college campuses, and private practice. I have worked in administrative support, as a clinician, and as a supervisor but my passion is working directly with clients. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, and grief related to undocumented status and reproductive struggles. My focus is on highlighting the idea of disenfranchised grief, a grief that is not acknowledged, recognized, or validated by the larger society to explain the impact of some of these specific circumstances, such as living as an undocumented person, to help people process and heal in therapy.
I describe my approach as gentle, honest, and direct. I like to have open communication but recognize the impact and power of my words in the relationship we form. I work alongside you to uncover patterns, situations, circumstances, or whatever is impacting you. I work with clients that are unsure of next steps and want support in discovering how to keep moving along, because life doesn’t stop. My goal is to uncover what you already have within you and utilize that to get you through what you are experiencing right now.
