Cultural Identities

About Dr. Marta Lopez, DSW, LCSW, MSW

re you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or weighed down by anxiety, depression, or the invisible burden of generational trauma? You don’t have to navigate this alone.

I’m Dr. Marta Lopez, DSW, LCSW, and I bring over 25 years of experience in supporting individuals, especially women, on their journey toward emotional healing and empowerment. I provide a compassionate, culturally responsive space where you can safely explore your story, reconnect with your inner strength, and begin to feel like yourself again.

Together, we’ll uncover the root causes of your distress, including the impact of intergenerational trauma, reproductive grief, or life transitions, and develop meaningful tools for healing and growth. My work is grounded in evidence-based practices, and I am trained in:

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs)
I specialize in women’s mental health across the lifespan, including:

Perinatal mood disorders (depression and anxiety before, during, and after pregnancy)
Reproductive trauma and infertility
Pregnancy loss and grief
Unresolved trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties
My therapeutic approach honors your cultural identity, background, and the intergenerational experiences that may be shaping your current challenges. You’ll find a nonjudgmental, empowering environment where your healing process is respected and supported.

I also offer affordable student rates and clinical supervision for associate social workers.

Let’s begin this transformative journey together—toward healing, self-discovery, and emotional freedom.
