Cultural Identities

About Maria (Mari) Villeda, LCSW

Hola! I’m Maria Villeda, but most people call me Mari. I’m a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker and founder of Homegirl Roots Psychotherapy. I created this space for first-generation cycle-breakers who are ready to heal, grow, and build a life that feels aligned with who they truly are.

As the daughter of immigrants, I understand the balance between family, culture, responsibility, and your own needs. Through a culturally affirming, relational approach, I integrate Brainspotting and talk therapy to help you heal old wounds, break generational patterns, build self-trust, and step out of survival mode. We’ll move at your pace with warmth, authenticity, and a little homegirl energy.
