I believe that therapy is a collaborative space for individuals to develop their own story through exploration and healing. I approach therapy through a non-pathologizing and harm reduction lens and understand that the client is the expert of their own experience. I view the clinical relationship as a tool for healing in which a client can learn to build trust in others and insight into personal relationships. I want to empower people through the highlighting of their strengths and strengthening of coping mechanisms. I have worked with LGBTQIA+ individuals, BIPOC individuals, multiracial/mixed individuals, poly and kinky folx, immigrants, young people, individuals who experience chronic pain, neurodiverse individuals, and individuals who have experienced homelessness, chronic mental health issues, and substance use related issues. I help individuals navigate systemic oppression, identity development, trauma, relational issues, chronic mental health issues, and self-esteem. I work with individuals to understand how trauma and stress are held in the body. Building the mind-body connection empowers a client to feel in control of themselves and form an empathetic relationship with themselves. As a multiracial queer individual, I have often reflected on my understanding of self and my relationship to community. I recognize that there are few safe spaces for individuals with marginalized identities to explore what their identity means to them, and I work to create a non-judgmental space for identity development and processing.
