My therapeutic passion lies in helping individuals identify what “balance” means, looks like, and feels like to them at this current stage in their lives. We live in a world where we are consistently flooded with information as we try to make time and create understanding for all the important things/people in our lives. It can feel overwhelming and confusing to identify which “wellness” tip or type of support might be useful to apply! For some of us, that may lead to ongoing avoidance of taking steps towards taking care of ourselves, especially if we struggle asking others for help. Let’s figure out how to approach your specific life circumstances in ways which consider your prioritized needs and your lifestyle.
I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, relationships & dating, disordered eating, body image, boundary setting (saying “no” or expressing needs can feel challenging!), managing intense emotions, first generation students, high achieving individuals, and personality disorders/traits.
While I am a DBT-trained therapist, I believe flexibility is an essential part of the therapeutic process; I draw from other therapeutic approaches to support your current/evolving needs, preferred learning styles, and lifestyle. I believe the therapeutic space allows for humor (sarcasm included!), curiosity, and joy; we’re here to embrace the full human experience.
I completed the Foundational DBT Training and DBT Skills for Adolescents and Families through Behavioral Tech. I also offer individual DBT skills sessions to supplement ongoing therapy sessions; skills sessions focus on learning DBT skills and discussing individualized application. Alongside my work with teenagers, I also offer DBT skills coaching sessions for parents/guardians as their teens participate in individual DBT therapy.
My office is based in Studio City (Los Angeles), CA. I offer in-person sessions and virtual sessions. I work with individuals, couples and families. Please reach out to schedule a 15-minute phone consultation to see if it’s a therapeutic fit.
