Our journey together will help you foster a healthier connection with yourself and the world around you.
Now accepting clients for couples, family therapy and individual therapy sessions.
I strive to create a person-centered, empowering environment that invites healing without coercion. I integrate trauma-informed techniques, attachment theory, neuroscience,EMDR and trauma informed gentle movement practices to help clients connect with their bodies, feel safe in within themselves, strengthen personal relationships, and heal from adverse experiences.
When working with couples, it is important that I create a safe space where both partners learn to rekindle their connection and improve their understanding of one another. Together we’ll work on improving communication, setting a foundation for open and honest dialogue, and building a relationship that supports both individual and shared growth.
My approach to therapy is person-centered and draws from Carl Rogers’ theory, attachment theory, trauma counseling, trauma-sensitive yoga, mindfulness, compassion-focused work, EMDR, and a Gottman-inspired couples therapy style. I believe each person possesses unique qualities that can be enhanced with support and encouragement. I teach a wide variety of life skills that will help you on your journey of growth and healing including somatic healing through movement and breath work, creating healthy habits, developing or re-connecting with personal interests, and strengthening your most important relationships.
I have extensive experience working with individuals affected by trauma, understanding how upbringing affects our primary relationships. Through our work together, we can work through the negative long lasting affects of trauma and create new neural and social pathways to move forward from painful or traumatic experiences.
About Me:
I am compassionate about social justice, and respect for diversity. Since 2011, I’ve traveled though out many parts of the world to learn from various cultures. Along the way I’ve integrated yoga, women’s circles rooted in ancestral wisdom, Zen meditation, silent retreats, and trauma-sensitive yoga into my personal and professional life. These experiences have shaped my approach to therapy and have helped me provide grounded and culturally informed support for my clients.
