Hi, I’m Kimi (she/her) — I’m a bilingual (English/Spanish) Limited Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LLMHC) practicing under the supervision of Kency Vitale, LMHC, at Rothschild Mental Health Counseling. I’m a Latina therapist from Long Island with Salvadoran roots, and so much of the heart behind my work comes from lived experience—navigating acculturation, identity, diaspora grief, and belonging. I know what it means to hold pride in where we come from while also carrying the ache of what we’ve had to leave behind.
In my work, I support adults moving through trauma, grief, anxiety, life transitions, and moments where who we’ve been no longer fits who we’re becoming. I also have a special interest in women’s issues, immigrant experiences, cultural identity development, and the emotional realities that come with being first-gen or bicultural.
My hope is to offer you a space where you can slow down, exhale, and feel fully seen—without having to overexplain the parts of yourself that the world doesn’t always understand. I follow your pace and your story, integrating approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Gestalt, trauma-informed interventions, and creative arts expression for those who connect with visual or creative processing.
Therapy with me isn’t about perfection—it’s about curiosity, compassion, and making room for the parts of you that are ready to heal. If you’re looking for a therapist who understands cultural nuance, honors both softness and resilience, and meets you human to human, I’d be honored to work with you.
xx
