No me siento yo misma.

I don’t feel like myself. Why can’t I connect with my children? Why can’t I get pregnant? Whether you’re dealing with fertility issues, have experienced a pregnancy loss, adjusting to the changes of expanding your family, learning to be yourself again in motherhood, or feeling anxious or depressed, I’m here to offer supportive care. Together, we’ll work to build resilience and find balance, empowering you to face this transformative stage of life with confidence and hope. Moms, you are not alone.
I am Katherine Orellana-Lopez (she/her), a licensed marriage and family therapist and founder of Blooming Hearts Therapy. As a first-generation Latina therapist and a mother after infertility and multiple losses, I understand the challenges young Latinas and women face. My mission in my practice is to remove the stigma of therapy for Latinas and break the generational cycles that keep us stuck.
I bring my authenticity to every session. I am a loving and joyful person, a chillona (someone who cries a lot), a mother, wife, daughter, and sister who has been through the trenches. Together, we can explore your path and discover the hope within to lead the life you desire. I focus on creating a supportive and empathetic environment to empower my clients to explore their feelings and achieve personal growth, fostering self-awareness and emotional healing. I help people identify and challenge bothersome negative thought patterns, promoting healthier behaviors and emotional responses using evidence-based practices. Additionally, I am an active ally serving our communities of color, gender, sexuality, and beliefs. I feel very privileged to have a practice that promotes diversity.
In addition to being a therapist, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, listening to audiobooks, and hosting dance parties anytime of the day.
