About Karla Ventura, LMFT

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists in California, I offer therapy in both English and Spanish.

As a Latina and bilingual therapist, I understand that our inner worlds don’t exist separately  from the worlds we come from. Family, culture, faith, expectations, relationships, and the stories we’ve inherited can all shape the way we show up for ourselves and others. For many of us  we’ve learned to be strong, “ponte las pilas” and keep going.  We may have been conditioned to believe that asking for help is a sign of weakness.

My work is grounded in attachment- based relational approach. I’m interested not only in what is happening right now, but in the stories, relationships, experiences, the protective patterns that have shaped how you learn to move through the world.

I work with individuals and couples navigating a range of relational and life experiences. Including relationship difficulties, affair recovery, grief and loss, infertility and reproductive loss, family dynamic and the ways faith and culture intersect.

My professional background includes working with vulnerable populations, including human trafficking survivors. I approach therapy with a humble curiosity, honoring your story and the privilege  I have in sharing space with you.

This is what I hope therapy with me can be – a place where you don’t have to hold it all alone.
