Cultural Identities

About Jocelyn Gomez-Garcia, AMFT

Holis! I appreciate you stopping by. My name is Jocelyn and I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (#164344), employed by Conscious Mind Therapy Institute in Walnut Creek Ca, and supervised by Dina Ramaha, LCSW (#65007).

My therapeutic style is deeply rooted in my cultural values of humility, respect, and interdependence. This is reflected through my person-centered, collaborative, and strength-based approach that aims to honor your unique experiences. I hold a firm belief that you are the expert of your life; you hold your medicine. Within this lens, I envision myself walking alongside you in your journey, joining you in your experience, as opposed to guiding you towards a predetermined direction. It is through my non-pathological and gentle approach where I strive to foster a compassionate curiosity within yourself to help unfold your journey of self-discovery.

I have experience (and an interest in) working with children, adolescents, and their caregivers, as well as young adults. Our work together may look like warmly exploring thoughts, behaviors, emotions, and relational patterns to help develop new and authentic ways of being that are most aligned with your unique experience and truth. We may be a good fit if you are looking for a space to slow down and reconnect with each part of you.
