Hola, welcome! I’m Jessica Saldana (she/her), a bilingual Spanish-speaking therapist and first-generation Mexican American.
Life can feel challenging and overwhelming, and I believe our experiences are shaped by the many parts of who we are and what we have lived through. As a bilingual and bicultural therapist, I enjoy working with people from all backgrounds, while holding a special passion for supporting individuals and families from the Latinx community.
I approach therapy with curiosity, compassion, and a deep respect for the many layers that make up each person’s story. I hold space for the ways culture, identity, immigration experiences, trauma, attachment, family history, development, and relationships shape how we understand ourselves and the world around us.
Many of the communities I walk with have learned to carry responsibility to family, expectations, and the weight of generations before them. Some may feel disconnected from the parts of themselves that hold quiet stories, deep feelings, or experiences they have learned to hide. In our work together, we gently explore these parts, make sense of the stories that have shaped you, and create space for healing, self-understanding, and reconnection.
I believe healing happens when we are able to feel seen in our full humanity: mind, body, emotions, relationships, and lived experiences. I incorporate approaches that honor both the stories we carry and the ways our bodies hold those experiences including parts work, narrative approaches, and Brainspotting-informed therapy (Phase 1 trained).Â
Therapy with me is a space where you can be fully seen, without having to explain or translate your experience. We move at a pace that honors your story, your body, and the parts of you that have carried so much. My hope is to support you in reconnecting with yourself in ways that feel steady, meaningful, and whole. I’m excited to connect with you and begin this journey together.
