Hello, I’m Jessica Rios Flores, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, grief specialist, and founder of WomenMix, a therapy practice that supports and empowers high-achieving women navigating grief and life transitions.
My journey into grief work is intentional. Like many of my clients, I understand what it means to appear composed while feeling broken inside. As a Latina clinician, I recognize the cultural expectation for women to be strong, keep moving, and prioritize others. I chose this field because every woman deserves a space where she can be authentic and vulnerable.
I founded WomenMix to provide a supportive space for women experiencing grief, loss, and major life transitions. My approach broadens the definition of grief beyond death. Grief can result from the end of a relationship, loss of identity after divorce or a diagnosis, career changes, miscarriage, estrangement, transitioning roles, or entering motherhood and feeling disconnected from oneself. Any significant loss of self, identity, or future plans is valid and deserves to be honored, not rushed.
My clients are high-achieving professionals in corporate, healthcare, and athletics, invested in personal growth. They include heterosexual women and members of the LGBTQ+ community from diverse backgrounds. Despite their accomplishments, many feel something is missing and are ready to rediscover it.
At WomenMix, I provide individual and group therapy for women in New York and Florida. My practice is grounded in evidence-based methods, drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities tailored to each client’s needs. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, Positive Psychology, Motivational Interviewing, Complicated Grief Treatment (CGT), and a Strength-Based Perspective. I am committed to meeting each woman where she is on her journey.
I am a certified grief educator and author. My work extends beyond therapy to include speaking engagements, mentorship, and community events. I offer grief education workshops and talks, and am passionate about increasing
understanding of grief. The more we understand grief, the less alone we feel.
If you have been holding things together while grieving a loss you may not yet be able to name, know that your feelings are real and valid. You do not have to navigate this alone. WomenMix is here for you.
I am currently accepting new clients in New York and Florida, with both insurance and private pay options. I also partner with Mentaya to help clients access out-of-network reimbursement.
If you are ready to take the next step in your healing journey, please reach out to schedule a consultation. I am here to support and guide you.
In service & with gratitude,
