¡De todo corazón, hola y bienvenidx!
Yo soy Jenny López, LCSW, IECMHS (she/her/ella), a mental health practitioner and proud founder of Rooted in Nature Therapy. Born in Oaxaca, grounded in my Mixteco roots, and raised in Southern California, I bring my lived experience as an immigrant, FirstGen, bilingual, and bicultural therapist into how I understand care, identity, and belonging.
I offer therapy throughout California in English, Spanish, or a natural combination of both, depending on what helps you feel most fully yourself.
You may be the person others rely on while privately feeling overwhelmed, stretched thin, or disconnected from your own needs and voice. Perhaps part of you has been wondering, “¿Y yo, cuándo?” There can be room for you, too. Our work together can offer a place to begin returning to yourself with gentle care.
This summer and into the fall, I am welcoming private pay clients seeking short-term, practical therapy. This may be a good fit if you are trying therapy for the first time, returning for maintenance support, or seeking focused care during a stressful season, transition, or period of change.
Most clients participate in approximately 6 to 10 sessions over 2 to 3 months. Through our work together, you may:
• feel steadier cuando la vida se siente abrumante
• slow down and better understand what you need
• set clearer boundaries and respond with greater intention
• make decisions with more confidence and clarity
• reconnect with your voice and return home to your mind, body, and corazón
My approach is grounded in relationship, collaboration, and trust. Together, we create a space where you can feel supported, reflect honestly, and take an active role in shaping your care.
At the heart of my practice is ecotherapy, a framework rooted in the belief that our relationship with Nature can serve as guía y sostén, offering guidance, grounding, and connection. We bring the natural world into therapy through movement, sensory awareness, reflection, and intentional time outdoors.
Ecotherapy can also be woven into virtual sessions through imagery drawn from Nature, mindful noticing, sensory anchors, and connection with the natural environment available to you. You do not need to consider yourself outdoorsy. This work is shaped around your comfort, access, and relationship with Nature.
Private pay sessions are available through:
• Therapy at my Burbank office
• Outdoor Walk and Talk therapy in Burbank and La Cañada Flintridge
• Telehealth throughout California
I currently offer daytime appointments, with an emphasis on office based and outdoor sessions. Sessions are 55 minutes, and the private pay rate is $175.
If something here feels familiar, you are warmly invited to reach out. I offer a complimentary phone consultation lasting 15 to 20 minutes so I can learn more about what you are seeking, answer your questions, and explore whether this short term approach feels supportive for this season of your life.
No tienes que tener todo claro before reaching out. Sometimes the first step is simply making space to begin. When you feel ready, I am here to meet you there.
En comunidad y con mucho cariño,
JL
