🌱 ¡Hola y bienvenida/o! I’m Jenny Lopez, LCSW (she/her/ella) — a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Rooted in Nature Therapy™, a mental health practice grounded in the belief that caring for ourselves and caring for the Earth are deeply interconnected. I provide telehealth therapy (phone and video) and in-person sessions (office and outdoor Walk & Talks) in local parks throughout the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, CA. Sessions offer space to pause, reconnect, and restore emotional balance through a nature-guided and relationship-centered approach.
My work is relational, nature-informed, and culturally attuned. I integrate ecotherapy, mindfulness, and emotional-regulation practices to support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief, burnout, or life transitions. Whether we’re meeting outdoors among the trees or through a grounding phone session, my goal is to create a space where you can exhale — where therapy feels human, collaborative, and deeply supportive.
Over my 15+ years of clinical experience, I’ve supported adults, caregivers, and community members in tending to emotional wounds and cultivating sustainable wellness. As a Certified Infant & Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant, I specialize in helping parents and caregivers nurture both their own well-being and their relationships with the children in their care. My approach is rooted in attachment theory, trauma-informed care, and social work values, integrating the wisdom of our early experiences with the possibilities of our present life.
At Rooted in Nature Therapy, we view wellness as a shared journey — not something to achieve alone, but something we co-create in connection with others and the natural world around us. Therapy becomes a place for restoration and reflection, where we can explore the ways you relate to yourself, to others, and to the land that holds you. You might find yourself grounding through breathwork, exploring stories from your family lineage, or connecting to the rhythms of nature as metaphors for your own growth and change.
For those who seek deeper connection, Walk & Talk sessions invite the body and mind into movement — walking through local parks as we engage in gentle conversation and reflection. These sessions allow nature to serve as a mirror and teacher, helping you reconnect with your inner calm and emotional flow. For others, the phone or video format may offer the privacy and flexibility needed to access care wherever you are.
My work centers cultural humility and collective care. I hold deep respect for the strength, creativity, and thriving of Latinx, immigrant, and First-Gen communities, while also recognizing that we are worthy of rest, softness, and sustainability — not just resilience. Therapy, to me, is a process of returning home to ourselves, learning to listen to what our bodies and hearts already know, and allowing nature to guide us back into our most authentic inner nature.
You can expect sessions that are warm, non-judgmental, and person-centered. Together, we’ll explore tools that support your emotional regulation, self-compassion, and relationships. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are — with curiosity, care, and respect for your lived experience — while gently inviting growth and sustainability at your own pace.
Whether you’re new to therapy or returning to care, you’re welcome here. If you’re feeling the call to reconnect with your inner world, navigate life transitions, or find balance in today’s demanding world, I would be honored to walk alongside you. Therapy can be a place of rest, reflection, and renewal — a reminder that even in stillness, growth is taking root.
Let’s begin this journey together — one conversation, one breath, one rooted moment at a time.
