About Jenn Ocampo, LCSW

Helping first-gen and eldest daughters find healing, balance, and space to be fully themselves.

Hi, I’m Jenn. I’m really glad you’re here.

I’m a bilingual and bicultural Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with first-generation teens and adults, with a special passion for supporting eldest daughters. Many of my clients are used to being the responsible one, the translator, the role model, or the strong one for everyone else. On the outside, they often look like they’re holding it all together. On the inside, they may be carrying anxiety, guilt, pressure, or exhaustion.

As a first-gen daughter of immigrants myself, I understand the deep love and loyalty that can exist alongside the weight of expectation. You might be trying to honor your family while also wanting freedom, boundaries, or a life that feels like your own. Therapy can be a place where we make room for both.

I have over eight years of experience supporting clients with anxiety, identity, self-esteem, school and career stress, and family conflict. My style is warm, collaborative, and practical. I integrate approaches like CBT, relational therapy, and trauma-informed care to help you better understand your patterns, build coping tools, and feel more confident navigating hard conversations.

When we work together, you can expect honesty, compassion, and gentle challenge. I want you to have a space where you don’t have to perform, fix everything, or already know the answers. You get to be human here.

My hope is that therapy helps you feel more grounded, more clear about what you need, and more able to create relationships and a future that reflect who you truly are.

Values and Approach

I believe healing happens in relationships where you feel safe, respected, and genuinely understood. My role isn’t to judge or tell you who to be, but to walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and honesty.

Many of the people I work with have spent their lives being the responsible one, the helper, or the strong one for others. Together, we explore where those roles came from, which still feel meaningful, and which may be leaving you overwhelmed or disconnected from yourself.

I value collaboration and transparency and aim to create a space where you don’t have to perform or have everything figured out. You’re allowed to be uncertain, emotional, ambitious, conflicted, or tired.

My approach blends practical tools with deeper reflection. We might work on managing anxiety, setting boundaries, or preparing for difficult conversations while also exploring identity, relationships, and long-standing patterns.

Above all, I believe growth becomes possible when people feel seen and have permission to imagine something different for themselves.

I invite you to reach out if you are interested in working together.
