Life can feel heavy sometimes. You might feel overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or unsafe in your own body. Maybe you’re carrying pain from the past that still shows up in your relationships or daily life. I want you to know that you’re not alone — healing is possible.
At Awakened Healing Therapy, I offer real talk and gentle guidance. I provide a calm, grounded space where you can slow down, exhale, and reconnect with yourself. My approach is trauma-informed and mind–body oriented, integrating EMDR, somatic awareness, mindfulness, and self-compassion. These tools help your nervous system find balance, allowing you to feel safer, calmer, and more present in your body.
In our first sessions, I take time to truly get to know you — your story, your history, your pain, and your hopes. Together, we build trust slowly and gently. You don’t need to have everything figured out. You can come exactly as you are — quiet, uncertain, emotional, or simply tired.
Clients often share that they’re surprised by what unfolds in therapy. Sometimes it’s the relief of saying something out loud for the first time. Other times, it’s a moment of clarity when a deeper understanding clicks into place. Many notice they’re sleeping better, feeling calmer, or reconnecting with parts of themselves that had been buried. Most of all, they value having a space that’s entirely theirs — one where they can stop performing and simply be.
No two people are the same, so no two sessions are either. I don’t believe in one “right” way to heal. Sometimes we explore thoughts and emotions; other times, we focus on grounding through the body. My sessions are flexible, intuitive, and shaped by what you need most that day. I welcome all parts of you — mind, body, culture, and spirit.
As a bilingual therapist (English, Spanish, and Spanglish — ¡jaja!), I understand that language and identity are powerful parts of healing. Culture, migration stories, and family expectations shape how we experience the world. I hold these experiences with care and curiosity. For many of my clients, therapy becomes a place to explore intergenerational patterns, belonging, and self-expression while honoring their cultural roots.
Your voice leads the way. I check in often to ensure our work feels supportive and aligned with your goals. I welcome feedback because therapy is a collaborative process — a relationship built on trust and mutual respect.
Over time, clients begin to notice meaningful shifts. They pause before reacting, express their needs with more clarity, and offer compassion to the parts of themselves that once felt unworthy. Some choose to begin EMDR to reprocess trauma; others focus on emotional regulation, boundaries, or rediscovering joy. Healing looks different for everyone, but the thread that connects it all is a growing sense of calm, connection, and self-trust.
I became a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor because I know how uncertain the healing path can feel. My own journey began with somatic work and mindfulness — learning to notice what I was feeling instead of pushing it away. Experiencing EMDR personally deepened my relationship with my inner child and reminded me how powerful it is to heal with compassion.
I hold a B.A. from UCLA and an M.S. in Counseling from San Francisco State University. Since 2011, I’ve worked in college counseling centers and non-profits supporting students, veterans, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, and multicultural families. My foundation in social justice guides how I show up — aware of systems, culture, and the strength it takes to reclaim your story.
Outside of therapy, I find joy in simple things — beaches, trees, flowers, and laughter. I’m the person who tears up during emotional movie scenes and believes empathy is a strength. I hold hope that change is always possible, one person at a time.
My mission is to help others awaken to their own healing. Each person carries a world within them. When we bring peace to that inner world, we create ripples of healing in our families, communities, and beyond.
