¡Hola! Soy Jandira Zaki (she/her/ella) 👋
I’m a Latine, bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker. As a Latina born in Peru — con raÃces Quechuas — and raised in North Carolina, I know what it means to hold multiple worlds at once, to code-switch, to navigate spaces where you sometimes feel like you’re too much and not enough at the same time.
I have a BA in Psychology and a Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and my passion is walking alongside teenagers and young adults (ages 15-40+) as they figure out who they are and where they belong — because that journey? No es fácil.
💙 En lo que podemos trabajar juntos / What we can work through together:
• Self-worth & self-esteem (because you deserve to know your value)
• Identity exploration — cultural, racial, personal
• Acculturation & cultural identity struggles
• Family of origin experiences & family conflict
• Interpersonal relationships (the complicated ones, yes)
• Depression, anxiety & trauma
Because therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all — unfortunately, sana sana colita de rana y Vaporub cannot heal everything (gasp!) 😄 -I take a person-centered, holistic, and culturally affirming approach, with a touch of humor, porque a veces hay que reÃrnos también.
I draw from modalities like CBT, Strength-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness and self-compassion practices. I’m also certified in Constructed Awareness (CA) — a nonviolent, awareness-based approach to processing trauma, attachment wounds, and heavy emotional experiences.
Mi meta / My goal: to co-create a safe, real, and supportive space where we walk this path juntos — tailoring your healing journey to what actually resonates with YOU.
SerÃa un honor acompañarte. It would be an honor to be part of your story. 🌱
