About Janae Borrego, LMFT, CCTP, CIMHP, CMIP, EMDR-C

Are you looking to improve your performance? Develop life, interpersonal or conflict resolution skills? Build better relationships? Function better at work or school? Wanting to improve your wellness or develop better balance in life? Or just want a safe space to heal, unlearn and/or make room for your authentic self to shine?

I’m Licensed Queer, Chicanx Psychotherapist, Empowerment Coach and Mental Performance Coach who empowers adults, students, athletes, professionals, entrepreneurs, and performers to unlock their fullest potential or connect with their authentic self through targeted strategies and holistic support. My mission is to cultivate resilience, optimize performance, and foster well-being. Grounded in evidence-based techniques and personalized care, I strive to guide individuals towards physical, mental, and emotional excellence, enabling them to thrive in every facet of their lives. I offer in person services in West Los Angeles and virtual services throughout California, Florida, Idaho and Vermont.

My philosophy embraces diversity and cultural humility, honoring the unique backgrounds, identities, and perspectives of each individual I work with. I believe in inherent dignity, resilience, and capacity for growth within every individual. Grounded in empathy, compassion, and authenticity, my philosophy emphasizes the importance of creating a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences openly and come as they are. I acknowledge the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit, and recognize the significance of addressing the whole person in therapy. Furthermore, I believe I serve as a guide rather than an expert and work to empower clients to assert their own agencies.

I am committed to offering a warm and inclusive environment where all individuals feel welcome and respected. I offer services that are culturally and LGBTQIA2s+ affirming, anti-racist and focused on empowering diverse clients. I work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including LGBTQIA2s+, Chicanx, Latinx and BIPOC communities, ensuring that each person receives culturally competent and empathetic care.
