Going to therapy for the first time or even for the hundredth time can be scary. I commend you for taking this step in wanting to heal and work through the challenges you may be facing. I work primarily with adults 18+ who may be dealing with challenges that come from balancing a work/life schedule, stressors of school, and relationship issues varying from family, friends, and romantic relationships. In therapy we can unpack who you are, who you want to be, and work through past issues and traumas that may still be affecting you today.
In our sessions I will create a warm, nonjudgmental, and safe space. I apply a holistic lens and integrate a person-centered approach that is tailored to your needs and goals for therapy. I utilize methods that explore your childhood, potential traumas, building self-awareness and self-compassion, and challenging negative thought patterns.
As part of the Q-BIPOC community I understand the stigmas around therapy and will always strive to understand you and your unique lived experience in your identities. It would be a privilege to get to know you and work with you on your journey towards healing.
