I use a combination of cognitive, holistic, emotional, identity-focused, relational/attachment, mindfulness, and trauma-informed approaches to explore how past experiences and relationships may be influencing patterns of avoidance or self-protection.
I intentionally affirm and support clients who identify as BIPOC, AAPI, Latinx, LGBTQ+, and neurodivergent. Your identities, lived experiences, and cultural context are respected and integrated into our work in meaningful and empowering ways. Together, we work to regulate emotions, process past pain, explore identity, develop executive functioning skills, resolve guilt or shame, process family dynamics, improve distress tolerance, enhance communication, and address intimacy challenges. We will challenge long-standing behavioral, cognitive, and emotional patterns that may feel frustrating but have been relied upon over time, fostering meaningful change, self-awareness, and lasting growth.
I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-sensitive, attachment-based, solution-focused, multicultural, mindfulness, relational, and motivational strategies. We will leverage your strengths, build coping skills, and develop practical tools to improve emotional regulation, relationships, and overall well-being. I use active listening, engaging responses, compassionate questioning, validation strategies, and cognitive-behavioral interventions to support clients in staying committed to therapy.
I often provide “homework” to practice skills, rehearse strategies, and restructure unhelpful beliefs, tailoring sessions to your unique needs, symptoms, treatment goals, and personality. My approach is warm, engaging, direct, and compassionate, using insightful questioning, reflective listening, and collaborative dialogue to create a space for introspection, mutual understanding, and meaningful resolution.
