About Genesis Morales, LMFT

Hello, my name is Genesis Morales, LMFT #107393. I am a bilingual latine Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) dedicated to supporting clients through a body-centered approach to healing.

My practice is rooted in the belief that we cannot separate personal healing from systemic liberation. I explicitly address the ways that colonization, patriarchy, white supremacy, and heterosexism manifest as internal wounds. By identifying how we have internalized these oppressive structures, we can shift away from traditional ‘treatment’ and toward a radical, restorative practice of care that seeks to transform both the individual and the collective.

My approach helps clients divest from the capitalist illusion that healing is a destination or a product to be finished. Instead, I guide them toward ancestral perspectives that recognize growth and transformation happen even in our darkest moments. Using an approach informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), we work to integrate the different parts of the self with curiosity and compassion. I view symptoms not as problems to be erased, but as portals to the underlying pain that needs our attention. This shift allows for a more sustainable, honest way of engaging in the ongoing work of healing.

To ground this work, I help clients reconnect with their emotions using somatic and mindfulness practices that deepen self-awareness. Rather than just talking about our struggles, we explore how emotions actually feel in the body. By observing and nurturing these physical sensations, we can begin to transform how trauma and harm are held within the nervous system. This embodied approach is especially helpful for those navigating anxiety, depression, and trauma. By moving beyond intellectualizing, we create space for real, practical change in your life and relationships, often leading to a profound sense of release and ease.

If you are seeking a supportive space to navigate this journey of transformation and embodiment, I invite you to reach out.
